Job Description
Job Summary:
Under broad supervision, responsible for partnering with audit business functions to ensure organization functions are in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies which may include, but is not limited to organization and implementation of compliance audits to support FDA inspection readiness and preparedness initiatives at registered facilities as well as the delivery of training to develop and enhance competencies related to regulatory and integrated compliance and audit requirements.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Partners with auditing business functions in support of the planning and completion of the full range of audits associated with FDA inspection readiness and preparedness initiatives at registered facilities.
- Supports the evaluation of the Quality Management Systems (QMS) at internal and external contract manufacturing facilities providing goods and services to support company objectives.
- Collects and analyzes data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, and non-compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
- Demonstrates effective use of auditing techniques and best practices when conducting facility and supplier audits.
- Recommends continuous improvement opportunities and performs follow up on approved audit plans addressing corrective and preventative actions.
- Prepares and provides clear, concise support presentations to communicate information to department on a routine bases.
- Works in collaboration with subject-matter experts and external partners on integrated compliance initiatives as directed.
- Builds and promotes effective relationships with management and stakeholders across the organization at all levels.
- Maintains certified auditor and/or compliance related credentials related to ISO principles (9001 and 19011; awareness of 14001 and 17025), QMS standards, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and Tobacco Product Manufacturing Practices.
- Develops a level of awareness and ability to convey standards applicable to 21 CFRs pertaining to Food Safety (§ 117), Dietary Supplements (§ 111) and Medical Device regulations (§ 820) to relevant stakeholders.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Regulatory, Business, or Law or related field of study; OR
- High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years related work experience in Tobacco industry or relevant, regulated industry.
- 5+ years related work experience to include, but is not limited to:
- Compliance, Quality, Regulatory, and/or Manufacturing Operations
- 5+ years related work experience to include, but is not limited to:
- Must have or be willing to obtain relevant certified professional designations for audit, cGMP, and Quality (e.g., Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Current Good Manufacturing Practices Certified Professional (cGMPCP)). Company will provide, if needed.
Knowledge of:
- Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams

Preferred Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Regulatory, Business, or Law or related field of study and 3+ years related work experience
- Current Audit, cGMP, and Quality professional designations.
